How are clean are your strollers? What are you doing to ensure against Coronavirus?

 

Smoky Strollers commitment to a clean, comfortable stroller rental has never changed from our first rental. In addition to our already extensive cleaning, we will be implementing additional cleaning procedures to ensure every stroller exceeds your expectations.

 

Each stroller is cleaned with an environmentally safe, non-toxic, disinfectant before and after every rental.  When a stroller is returned, we carefully hand wash all hard surfaces and shampoo in- contact soft surfaces such as the seat and sides.  We then spray all the surfaces with an aerosol disinfectant spay and let it sit a minimum of ten minutes or until another guest needs it, whichever is longer.  Then we spray and wipe it down again in front of you so you can be rest assured your child is going to be safe.

We are always looking for ways to improve our cleanliness as well and will update our FAQs section as updates occur.  

 

Why would I rent a stroller?

There are some very good reasons to rent a stroller, even if your children don't normally use a stroller at home. Walking around a theme park or through town all day can be VERY TIRING. As an adult, you will feel it. Now imagine littler legs trying to keep up all day. Giving them a ride will not only save them from getting as cranky, but will save you from some of that mid-day frustration. There is so much to do here and most of the time it’s easier to walk than drive.  You can easily walk a couple of miles a day just jumping from one attraction to the next.

 

Can't I just rent one from the attractions?

Some attractions rent strollers, but definitely not all of them.  The ones they do rent are hard plastic strollers. Unfortunately, their strollers are not padded, don't recline and cannot be taken from the attraction.

 

All strollers from Smoky Strollers have padded seats, fully recline and you can take them ANYWHERE you want....and trust us, the last thing you want is to have to carry a sleeping child back to the car at 10:00 at night after enjoying fireworks or just hanging out at The Island.

Should I get a single stroller or a double stroller?

We get asked this all the time and it really depends on your situation.  If you have multiple small children, this is an easy question, but sometimes there’s more to it then that.  For example, if you’re going to Dollywood with one stroller age child, a Sit N Stand may still be the right choice for you.  It gives you extra space to store a back pack or diaper bag with supplies and plenty of room to hold all your souvenirs.  It also has multiple drink holders to keep your beverages so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.

 

Are your strollers the same colors as in the pictures?

We've used pictures that offer the highest level of detail so our guest can see all of the great features our strollers have to offer. We try to purchase more neutral colors to appeal to everyone and while we wish we could honor specific color requests; we are unable to guarantee a particular color choice.

 

Can I rent a stroller for my pet?

We understand that pets are part of the family too.  We have two of our own and consider ourselves a pet friendly store, but unfortunately, we do not rent out our strollers for our four-legged children.  In the future, we may be adding specialty pet strollers to our lineup.  Stay in touch for updates.

 

Can I leave the stroller with the valet or front desk at night?

We ask that you maintain possession of the stroller when not in use. Please do not store your stroller with the bell stand, they should remain in a secure location such as your cabin, hotel room, or locked car.

 

What if I have to leave unexpectedly?

Emergencies happen and they don’t care whether you’re on vacation or not.  We completely understand things happen.  That’s why we offer a night drop for just those types of circumstances.  We will provide you with a code at the time of pickup for those just in case moments and we also have a text number that we have access to 24/7.

 

What if I don’t want to pay for parking in Gatlinburg to pick up the stroller?

You’re in luck then because we have our own free parking.  Not only that we have some great neighbors that don’t mind if you use their lot to pick up your stroller either. 

 

What is your cancellation policy?

A full refund will be given to all cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to your rental date. All cancellations made within the 48 hours window will be charged the minimum rental fee of $22 for a single stroller and $34 for a double stroller. Please contact us as soon as possible should you need to cancel your stroller rental.

 
What should I do if I need to extend my stroller rental?

If you would like to extend the length of your stroller rental, simply call us to let us know when you would like to return it. We will make every effort to accommodate your request subject to availability (Rentals will be charged the single day rate beyond the original rental agreement).


Can I order more than one item at a time?

Yes, you will be able to order multiple items at once when placing your order, just add the quantities to the comments/requests section of the reservation form.

 

When will I be charged?

Your credit card will be charged at the time your order is placed and a confirmation email will be sent to you within 24 hours.

 

What if I have a problem/issue with the stroller?

Our telephone number will be listed on the stroller. Give us a call and we will make every effort to resolve any issue immediately.

 

What happens if my child gets sick or has an accident in the stroller?

Accidents happen and we are more than happy to replace your stroller if your child has an accident or gets sick in the stroller. Due to the extra cleaning procedures needed to return the item to normal use, a $25 fee will be charged to exchange an item. 


What happens if my stroller is lost or stolen?

You will be responsible for the cost of replacement for any lost or stolen stroller. Please keep it in your possession or in a secure location at all time.

What happens if I accidently take my stroller home?

It happens, but you have options.  You can bring it back and just pay the extended rental fee, you can ship it back to us and pay the shipping cost in addition to the extended rental fee, or you can just choose to pay the replacement cost for the stroller. 


What happens if our plans change?

Please contact us via email to notify us of any changes regarding your stroller rental and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

 

Do you offer parent consoles (drink holders)?

In most cases, yes. Most strollers are equipped with a parent console for you to use during your rental.

 

Do you offer the child tray on any of your strollers?

In most cases, yes. Most strollers are equipped with a child tray for your child to use during your rental.  Our Sit N Stand strollers even have three.  Unfortunately, some of our double strollers do not have that option though

   

Do you offer rain covers?

We do have limited rain covers for our double jogging strollers for an additional $5.
